‘Blade Runner’ Sequel Nabs Sexy Young Actor For Its New Lead
Since he dove back into the world of sci-fi with Prometheus, director Ridley Scott has been chomping at the bit to keep things going with the genre. Not only is there slated to be another contribution to the Alien franchise, but now Scott is spring boarding off of his other big early career hit Blade Runner. The sequel has been in talks for some time and its original star, Harrison Ford, is back in the saddle as the eponymous futuristic gunslinger Rick Deckard. Little else has been known about the upcoming film… until now.
Ryan Gosling has recently finished with his directorial debut Lost River, and now he seems to be lining up the acting jobs for the near future. Not only has he been cast in Guillermo del Toro’s Haunted Mansion remake, it was just announced that he will be appearing alongside Ford in the yet untitled Blade Runner follow-up. Nothing is yet known about what kind of role Gosling will play or what the basis of the plot will be. The movie does not have a release date yet.
