Teenager Has Been Sentenced To Death By Crucifixion

People don’t get crucified, it’s just not something that happens anymore. However, that is about to change, as one teenager has been sentenced to death by crucifixion within Saudi Arabia. The boy, Ali Mohammed al-Nimr, was arrested back in 2012 when he was 17-years-old. At the time, Nimr took part in an anti-government protest and was accused of handling a firearm during the time, however there was no evidence to support this claim.

The boy’s uncle, Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr, was a human rights activist before being condemned to death last year. This is the reason many believe the young Nimr is being punished now.

Protesters are hoping the UK government, who are allied with Saudi Arabia, can stop this execution. Thousands of supporters have come together, all of them using the #FreeNimr hashtag to show some form of support on social media. It is unclear when the boy will be put to death, but we hope someone can put a stop to this before the county goes through with the decision.
