Todrick Hall is an American entertainer who rises to fame when he competed on the ninth season of a countrywide singing competition American Idol in 2010 and making it to the semi-finals. Todrick Hall was born in a middle-class household on April 4th, 1985, in Plainview, Texas. A single mother raised Hall. In his teenage year, his mother married and had a younger brother. Hall started learning ballet at the age of nine, and when at twenty, he was introduced to show business when he starred in the musical The Colour of Purple alongside R&B singer and actress Fantasia Barrino.
