The X-Men May Be Joining The Marvel Cinematic Universe

After Marvel filed for bankruptcy in 1996, they sold off their creations. 21st Century Fox picked up X-Men and the Fantastic Four, while Sony took Spider-Man. In 2009, Disney bought the Marvel and created Marvel Studios, including everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Iron Man, the Avengers, the Hulk, and many more.

Now, 21st Century Fox is up for grabs, and Disney is looking to purchase it. This could mean that we’ll be seeing some of the X-Men in the MCU in the near future if the sale goes through, so we could see the Merc with a Mouth Deadpool fighting alongside Captain America. Disney’s Marvel Studios could also introduce a new band of X-Men team – similar to Gardians of the Galaxy, pitting Wolvering alongside Doctor Strange – the possibilities are endless.

Unfortunately, Comcast has also put in a bid to acquire 21st Century Fox. Comcast is planning on out-bidding Disney, with a $60 billion bid as opposed to Disney’s $52.4 billion bid.
