Man Sentenced After Robbing the Same Bank Twice

43-year-old Mike Bedford, from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, has been sentenced up to eight years in prison after he robbed Berksire Bank not once, but twice.

Bedford robbed the bank in South Hadley in both January and December of 2016, each time wearing a hood, mask, gloves and wielding a large knife. He was sentenced on Wednesday, pleading guilty to multiple counts of armed and masked robbery.

According to prosecutors, he robbed the banks after falling behind on rent, taking a little more than $11,000 in cash during both robberies. He is also being charged with robbing a bank in Pittsfield in 2015.
