Seems Like Disney Can’t Let It Go, Announces Frozen Sequel


Disney has officially announced that developments for a ‘Frozen’ sequel are currently underway. The plans were revealed during Walt Disney Co.’s shareholders meeting early Thursday morning in San Francisco. ‘Frozen’ directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are currently developing and creating the sequel alongside the movie’s producer, Peter Del Vecho.

Pixar Animation Studios chief creative officer, John Lasseter stated during the shareholders meeting that they enjoyed making the short film, ‘Frozen Fever’ so much so that decided to bring the characters so many people have grown to love back to life with a new adventure in Arendelle. After the ‘Frozen 2’ announcement was made Kristen Bell, the voice of Anna, shared her hilarious excitement on Twitter.

The ‘Frozen’ sequel shouldn’t be a surprise to most. The original was able to gross over $1.2 billion at the box office, making it the top grossing animated film of all time. ‘Frozen’ was even re-released in theaters as a sing a long. As of now, Disney has yet to release any other details, a release date or casting information regarding ‘Frozen 2’.
