North Carolina Mayor Candidate Vows To ‘Arrest Homosexuals’
Eugene “Sherlock” Holmes is currently running for the position of mayor for Kings Mountain – a city which is about 30 minutes from Charlotte, North Carolina. The man, however, is making some waves amongst the community, as he is vowing to remove all homosexuals from the town by arresting them and keeping them away from the area. He said: “I will force the D.A. to take out warrants for anybody that proclaims ‘I am Gay’.”
The 78 year-old Korean War veteran is a dedicated member of the Church of God, and has stated that “there is no way that a queer could be saved.” Holmes thoroughly believes that sodomy laws are active throughout North Carolina, so he wants any known homosexuals arrested within the town. Local LGBT activists, however, are arguing against the man, saying the laws are dated.
Holmes is one of four candidates running for the mayoral position, and only time will tell if he wins the election.
