Man Pleads Guilty To Killing Stepfather With ‘Atomic Wedgie’

In Oklahoma City, court officials reported that Brad Davis, 34, pleaded guilty on Monday for killing his stepfather, Denver St. Claire, by means of a deadly wedgie.

The killing occurred back in December 2013. The two men had been drinking heavily at St. Claire’s home. An argument occurred when St. Claire had been talking poorly about his wife, who of course was also Davis’ mother. The argument led to a fight, and during the altercation Davis resorted to giving his father a wedgie. The stepfather’s underwear was pulled up and around his head, and unfortunately the elastic band strangled him until he suffocated.

Police have referred to the attack as the “atomic wedgie”. According to Davis’s attorney, Bob Wyatt, “He (Davis) was just tired of taking it. He had been bullied all his life by this guy”. Davis, after pleading guilty to the first-degree manslaughter, now potentially faces anywhere from four to 35 years in prison.
