Brutal Street Justice Is Being Dished Out In Peru By Vigilantes

Criminals throughout Peru are being warned of some brutal vigilante justice being dished out throughout the country. An active group of vigilantes are roaming the streets in search of criminals. This group has lost all of their faith in the local police, so they are taking things into their own hands. Recently, a man was forced to eat raw chili, while another was made to stand atop an anthill. Then, another woman was stripped naked and forced to walk down a busy road with a sign that read ‘I’m a thief’.

The aforementioned punishments appear quite mild, but the majority feature the criminals simply being beaten within inches of their life. The vigilante group has even set up their own Facebook page, called ‘Chapa tu choro’, or ‘Catch your thief’. The group said: “From that day onwards, we decided to spread the message in the community – that next time we catch a criminal, we won’t call the police but we will punish them ourselves.”

Unfortunately, things are getting out of hand. A few other groups have popped up, including ‘cut off his hands’, and ‘castrate him’.
