11-Year Old Shot And Killed An Intruder To Protect His Sister

An 11-year-old boy from Missouri recently shot and killed someone who attempted to break into the family’s home, according to local police. The boy, who remains unidentified, was home taking care of his four-year-old sister, when two 16-year-old burglars decided to break into the house.

The boy, who is being hailed as something of a hero by some, fired one shot that his a single suspect directly in the head. The bullet killed the young man upon impact. Upon hearing the gunshot, the other suspect took off, but was arrested by police shortly afterwards.

Sgt. Brian Schellman said: “An 11-year-old who was inside picked up a handgun and fires one round, striking the suspect and fatally wounding him. It just seems that at this point anyone can pull the trigger on a weapon, it’s very scary.”

One neighbor said the events being portrayed were not what happened, though. According to the neighbor, the suspect who was killed never even entered the house. The three young boys were arguing on the front porch. The 11-year-old boy is in custody and is currently being questioned.
