X-Men: Apocalypse Adds Sexy New Star To Its Cast

Bryan Singer, director of the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, has been announcing a lot of new cast members for his penultimate X-Men movie. Newcomer’s previously announced to join the ranks include Lana Condor, who will play Jubilation Lee aka Jubilee (previously played by Katrina Florece and Kea Wong) who can project energy plasmoids or “fireworks” from her hands; Kodi Smit-McPhee as Kurt Wagner aka Nightcrawler (previously played by Alan Cummings) who can teleport and Ben Hardy as Warren Worthington III aka Angel (previously played by Ben Foster) who has large, white-feathered wings that allow him to fly. Now there’s a new character, previously unseen in the film versions, played by a gorgeous up and coming actress.

Singer announced recently that Olivia Munn, from Magic Mike and HBO’s The Newsroom, is set to play Betsy Braddock aka Psylocke in the new X-Men movie. In the comics, Psylocke is a butt-kicking babe who has the gifts of telepathy, telekinesis, and most famously the telekinetic katana, a blade made of psychic-energy she manifests from her hand. The extent to which the character will be included is yet unknown. The film is set to be released on May 26th, 2016.
