Woman Arrested After Putting Her Grandchildren In Dog Kennels
62-year-old grandmother Leimome Cheeks has been arrested and charged after she was recorded removing her 7 and 8 year old grandchildren out of dog kennels on Saturday. A video was taken on a cell phone by a concerned citizen in Memphis, southwest Tennessee, on Saturday which showed Cheeks releasing her two grandchildren from dog kennels in the back of her car.

The children told authorities that their grandmother put them in the animal crates because there weren’t enough seats. They also complained that it was hot in the animal crates in the trunk, as Cheeks had no air conditioning in the car and kept the windows closed.
The grandmother has been charged with two counts of child endangerment, and a full investigation is underway.
