Terrorist Suspect Gets Savagely Beaten In Canadian Jail

An alleged Islamic terrorist got brutally beaten up by two other inmates while being held for trial at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre. Carlos Larmond was apparently trying to convert both Terrence Wilson and Michael Clarke to the Islam faith. Wilson’s lawyer, Paolo Giancaterino, said that his client didn’t take the request lightly: “‘It escalated to the point where threats were starting to be made that my client would be killed in his cell if he didn’t convert. That was followed up by another threat that my client’s family would be killed by someone on the outside if he didn’t convert.'”

However, what transpired after Larmond made these statements is quite disturbing. Both Wilson and Clarke struck Larmond multiple times, with their fists, feet and nearby objects. The altercation was eventually broken up by correctional officers, however Larmond suffered a broken hand and black eye, along with various other bruises, during the attack.

Other inmates at the facility applauded Wilson and Clarke, with them subsequently being transferred to another facility while Larmond awaits trial on terrorism charges.
