Raccoon Goes For Gator Ride In Florida

According to recent news reports, a man took a photo of what appears to be a raccoon taking a boat ride on an alligator at the Ocala National Forest. The man, Richard Jones, reported that while taking a family stroll through the forest watching the gators, he managed to snap this amazing shot when his son, trying to get a closer look at the alligators, apparently startled a raccoon that tried to get away the only way he knew how — on top of a gator.

Luckily, Jones was able to get the picture quick, as they reported that the raccoon was only briefly on his gator respite before scurrying back to safety on land. Good thing the gator didn’t seem phased or the raccoon would have been lunch.

This could have been a far more shocking photo. Luckily for the family and the raccoon, no animals or people were harmed in the making of this memory.
