Microsoft Website Will Guess Your Age From An Uploaded Photo

Microsoft has announced their new website, How-Old.net, and it has gone viral. The new website uses Microsoft’s new Face API, which was launched this week at their annual Build Developer Conference. The Face API allows developers to use an image and detect faces within it.

How Old Do I Look is testing out this Face API tool and allows users to upload a photo of themselves (or anyone else) and see what their results are. It scans the photo for faces and then will guess the age and gender of the people in the photo. The program is using a database of faces with known ages and gender to help make their guess.

Is it 100% accurate? Not at all, but they developed it in just one day, so they have some kinks to work out. However, it is something fun to check out and it definitely has people talking about the #HowOldRobot that is trending.
