Marco Rubio Joins Ridiculously Crowded Republican Presidential Field

At this point, finding a prominent Republican who isn’t jumping into the 2016 Presidential race might be easier than naming one who has. Following in the footsteps of Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, Marco Rubio announced this week that he was officially running for the Republican nomination, in hopes that he will eventually occupy the Oval Office.

While some believe that Rubio is too young and too inexperienced, the Florida Senator believes the time is right for his campaign. “I have never understood that ‘wait your turn,’ logic” he said, according to the Washington Post. “The presidency is not like a bakery, where you take a number and wait for it to be called. You’re either compelled to run for it because you believe it’s the best place to serve your country” or you stay out of the race.

It appears there are a number of other Republicans who agree with Rubio. Carly Fiorina still contends she’s just about ready to jump into the race. Then there are people like Rick Perry, Rick Santorum and Ben Carson who all seem to be gearing up for their own run. If nothing else, watching Marco Rubio navigate such crowded waters should be entertaining.
