Man Somehow Survives Car Crash That Split His Car In Half

A man in Florida somehow managed to survive a horrific crash that actually split his car in two when it slid off the road and hit a tree. This shocking crash occurred on Tuesday evening, when the driver, Carlos Pino, 20, lost control of his 1986 Nissan 300ZX. Pino slid on the wet roadway while attempting to make a turn, which resulted in his car colliding with a tree. The crash resulted in the engine compartment splitting from the remainder of the body, as can be seen in the image above.

Not only was Pino able to survive a crash that apparently looked worse than it actually was, he was taken to the hospital with nothing more than superficial wounds. It appears that the way car hit the tree is actually why the driver survived, who was at least smart enough to be wearing his seat belt. Authorities have said that they don’t believe Pino wasn’t driving at an unsafe speed, and that the road conditions were enough to cause him to lose control.
