Man Demanded to Bury All His Money with Him, and Wife Did Exactly What He Said
People live for different things–some for love, family, career, and some for money. In fact, some people love money too much that they put it above everything else, including family.
In a recent, funny story shared by Metaspoon, one greedy man demanded to his wife that he should be buried with all his wealth. He wanted all his money placed in the casket with him, to take his hard-earned money to the afterlife. After all, he was one man who worked really hard and saved all his money.
Surprisingly, the wife kept true to her side of the deal and did exactly what he said!
During the burial ceremony, as his body was stretched out in the casket and ready to be lowered, the wife interjected: ‘Wait a minute!’
She took out a shoebox with her, placed it in the casket, and told the undertakers to proceed.
Her friends were surprised and thought she was crazy for having done such an act.
She responded: ‘Yes, I promised him. Being a good Christian, I can’t lie. I promised to put his money in the casket with him.’
Astounded, the friend asked: ‘You mean to tell me you put every cent of his money in the casket with him?’
The wife nodded. ‘I got it all together, put it in my account and wrote him a cheque.’
What a smart woman with a lot of sense!
