Malik Explains Why He Left One Direction
Zayn Malik made waves in the music world when he announced he would be leaving the popular band One Direction. Even Malik was surprised by the reaction the entire world had when he made his announcement. However, speaking with The Sun, the 22-year-old explained why he left the band. He has said making this decision has left him “feeling quite interesting“.
Malik does not regret his decision, which is important to note. He did admit everything has been crazy and wild, but that he has never felt more in control. Rumors of him cheating on his fiance Perrie Edwards spewed forth following his announcement, but Malik has said the two are still together and she is “very supportive” of him.
Malik also revealed that tension between himself and the other members of One Direction, which were rumored to be a part of his ordeal, “couldn’t be more wrong“. Malik has been working on solo music for some time now. It is unclear whether he intends to focus solely on this, however.
