Internet Is Crying Over The Mindy Project Being Cancelled
Fox announced they are cancelling The Mindy Show, deciding not to pick it up for the fourth season. The story came from Entertainment Weekly who also reported how there is still hope for Mindy Kaling’s rom-com sitcom, as it is rumored to be picked up by Hulu. For now, fans are taking to social networks with grief and anger over the show’s unknown fate.
Mindy Kaling’s romantic comedy boasts a cult audience but has been dogged because of low ratings when it wrapped its third, and for now final, season in March this year. The second life for Dr. Mindy would come from Hulu with a big upside, the show’s producer Universal is currently negotiating a deal in order to sign with Hulu for multiple additional seasons. Hulu would come as the logical next step as they already own the streaming rights to all of show’s aired episodes. Today also marks the beginning of the annual three-day period in TV world where broadcasters decide which shows stay and which are dropped, so more shocking verdicts are yet to come.
