Alleged Drug Dealer Flees On Scooter From Nevada Police

In Carson City, Nevada, a man by the name of Joseph Scurti tried to flee on a scooter from local deputies. The officers originally tried to pull over Scurti on Woodside drive. When they ran the license plate, they found the registration expired and belonged to Scurti, who is an assumed drug dealer that had two felony warrants out for his arrest.

Scurti refused to be pulled over and lead police down Highway 50 on his silver TaoTao scooter. He got off the highway on Fairview Drive. He tried to ride on the sidewalk to escape, but ended up colliding with another officer’s car, which had pulled in front of him to cut him off. The scooter became stuck under the officer’s car, and Scurti proceeded to flee on foot.

Scurti was soon tackled by two deputies and proceeded to resist arrest. During the arrest, Scurti claimed that he did not stop because he was urgently trying to return the scooter to a friend’s house.
