Al Qaeda Urges Attacks On Bill Gates, Warren Buffet And Others

An article in al Qaeda’s Inspire magazine encourages lone wolf terrorists in the United States to go after the country’s economic leaders, including Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Michael Bloomberg, and the Koch Brothers. Also mentioned in al Qaeda’s hit list was Walmart founder Sam Walton, who died in 1992.

The article states its goal is to derail the “revival of the America Economy.” It also says anyone named on the list will be forgiven if they withdraw their money from U.S. banks and invest outside of the country, as well as denounce their support for the nation of Israel.

There is compelling evidence from the Boston Marathon bombings and other various thwarted terror plots that homegrown jihadists have specifically looked to the magazine for guidance on what targets to attack — and have taken that advice quite literally,” said counterterrorism analyst Evan Kohlmann.

Inspire is an online publication released monthly, and is perhaps best known for the article How To Make A Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom, which purports to give bomb-making recipes to would-be terrorists living in Western nations.
