20 Architectural Blunders That Will Leave You Scratching Your Head

Any profession that has to do with building structures and architecture is a difficult one. We should never think for a second that we would be able to just jump right in and do it ourselves. It requires skill, precision, and a whole lot more math than we will ever need or use. In fact, about the closest any of us will ever come to building anything is a plate in a buffet line. We all make mistakes every now and then. That includes skilled architects, builders and engineers. Fortunately for us, we have some utterly hilarious and ridiculous results. These are the blunders, goofs and gaffes that just make you stop and scratch your head. After seeing these, you have to wonder what on earth they could have possibly been thinking.

That First Step Is A Doozy

The best part of this second floor door to nowhere is imagining the person who lives there.

Very Interesting Bathroom Conversations

Here’s a way for people to really get to know one another in the bathroom.

Decapitating Escalator

Unless this was created for midgets, we’re failing to see how you could go up or down these escalators without being decapitated.

Skateboard Parking

This home driveway can double as a skateboard ramp.

Assumed Balcony

We have to assume that there’s an actual balcony there. So enjoy the imaginary scenery.

No Date For you

Don’t bring your date home. She may fall and break a heel or burn her legs trying to get into your apartment. Either way, rent a room.

Where The Sidewalk Ends

I think they decided to put the building here much later. Either way, look where you’re walking.

Dangerous Balcony

While you won’t be late for your train any more, it seems as if the train won’t be running any further than this balcony.

The Road Less Traveled

Making a straight line is apparently harder than we thought.

The Friendliest Urinals Ever

Now you can find new friends while taking a whiz.

Smart Cars

We hope that this person has either a really tiny car or great car insurance.

Going Places

These stairs lead nowhere… maybe they’re in the same building as the escalator?

Missing The Point

A ramp is usually made for easy access. Adding stairs to a ramp is pointless.

No Wheelchair Access

I think they were attempting to be wheelchair compliant but completely missed the point.

Wonka’s Play Yard

Only a slide built by Willy Wonka can be so cruel.

No Funds

Maybe this bank is trying to teach people a valuable lesson in saving.

Flying Car?

Seriously. What is the point and how do I get the car into the garage?

Tight Squeeze

Maybe the kids are the only ones who need to use the stairs.

Think Thin

If this isn’t motivation for me to lose weight, I don’t know what is.

A Hop and A Jump

Getting in and out of this house can make for a pretty good workout.
