Mario Day

While we’d love for March 10 to be a holiday where everyone has to play Super Mario Bros, it turns out this particular holiday is actually just a day where you have to go and celebrate anyone who is named Mario. Why do we do this in March? MARch and MARio. Awesome … huh?

Forgive Mom & Dad Day

Mothers and Fathers all over the world have their own Holidays but on March 18, they get one that is set aside specifically for kids to get over any grudges they might be holding. It’s hard to be angry this holiday exists.

Tolkien Reading Day

Tolkien reading day takes place on March 25 and was started by a group of people who simply live the Lord of the Rings trilogy. This holiday is relatively long having been started in 2003. Why did the group pick March 25? Because that is apparently the day they believe was the downfall of Sauron.

World Compliment Day

March 1st might just be the best day of the entire year. This is the day when you’re supposed to go around and give people compliments. You are also supposed to be able to receive compliments.

Submarine Day

National Fanny Pack Day

The Fanny Pack phenomena might have died off, but March 12 is a day when you can at least temporarily bring that rage back. Wear a fanny pack, buy a fanny pack, and strut your stuff for companies that make fanny packs. We don’t who started this or why, but we love it.

International Bagpipe Day

Did you know that there are actually 130 different kind of bagpipes in the world? March 10th is the day in which we celebrate all of these days and can also educate ourselves a little bit on this interesting instrument.

What if Cats and Dogs Had Opposable Thumbs Day

Taking place on March 3, this holiday is all about thinking about how life would be different if our furry friends could actually grasp things. It’s also a day to post some really crazy photoshopped memes.
