Three Men Convicted For Operating ‘Sheep Brothel’ In Wales

Three men have been arrested after convicted of running a sheep brothel in Swansea, Wales. The father-and-sons-team Adam, 31, John, 28 and David Cafferty, 52, ran the animal brothel called ‘The Ram Inn’ between January 2011 to July 2015.

According to reports, the two brothers and father set up a web site where people from all over the world came to select an animal of preference and booked for an appointment. During the trial, the father David Cafferty said he knew the sons operated the sheep brothel but is not involved in managing or organizing it, and also claimed he took no money from it.

The building was fitted into various bedrooms, mirrored ceilings, and even buckles attached to a wooden frame. 47 sheep of various breeds and colors were removed from the area, including a rare Southeast Asian pigmy goat. Rates are said to vary depending on the client’s preference.

It only took three hours for the jury to return with a verdict of guilt for all three men. They have been sentenced to four years imprisonment.
