Chinese Hospital Offers Sperm Donors Cash To Buy iPhone

It can be tricky to convince men to go to a sperm bank and contribute. In fact, it is so difficult that some countries are running very low on the number of donors available to prospective women who want to use the services. It should come as no surprise then when these types of facilities try to come up with creative ways of getting men to sign up, like offering them enough cash to buy the very latest iPhone model.

In a bid to entice new donors, Renji Hospital in Shanghai is offering any men who can pass the medical and donate sperm regularly a fee of around 6,000 yuan ($940). They say this will cover the cost of buying the new handset from Apple without the need to go to any other extreme lengths, such as selling organs.

The tactic used by the hospital builds on the demand for all Apple products in China. The technology firm sells millions of devices in the country every year and iPhones are so sought after by Chinese residents that riots have even broken out at stores when new versions are releasing.
