What is Bruce Springsteen’s Net Worth?

One of Bruce’s most impressive business moves was when he sold his music catalog to Sony for $500 Million.  Rolling Stone Magazine has ranked this illustrious artist as 23rd on its list of the All-Time Greatest Artists.  He is currently living a life of luxury, which is certainly well-deserved.  Springsteen is definitely considered a masterful American musician.

Early Life of Bruce Springsteen

He was born Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen in Long Branch, New Jersey, on September 23, 1949.  His parents were Douglas Frederick Springsteen and Adele Ann Zerilli Springsteen.  Most of Bruce’s childhood days were spent in Freehold, New Jersey.

Bruce has two younger sisters named Virginia Springsteen and Pamela Springsteen.  Pamela would later produce professional photographs for his albums Lucky Town, Human Touch, and The Ghost of Tom Joad.  In 1964, Bruce saw the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show and became hooked on the concept of being a professional musician.  Following that event, he bought himself his first guitar.  That was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.  Other early influences of Springsteen included American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan.

Career Beginnings

Moving forward to the early 1970s, Bruce was signed by executive Clive Davis to Columbia Records.  His fledgling career caught the attention of John Hammond, who was largely responsible for the career of Bob Dylan.

In October 1972, his debut album, Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J., was recorded and released.  It featured his backing band, later known as the E Street Band.  To this day, Springsteen still makes music with them in addition to solo efforts.

In late August of 1975, Springsteen and his E Street Band released the breakthrough album known to the world as Born to Run.  The title track received a plethora of radio airplay, as did Thunder Road, Jungleland, and Tenth Avenue Freeze-out.

Following a legal battle with former manager Mike Appel in 1977, the band and its illustrious leader went on to record many albums and play sold-out shows all over the world.  This is something they still do today.  Bruce’s recordings are still hits on the Billboard pop albums chart throughout the years.

Career Achievements of Bruce Springsteen

Since those early days when Springsteen began his career, he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Bruce and his band, responsible for things like the E Street Shuffle and Born in the U.S.A, have had numerous accolades.

Among them are his Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards, scores of best-selling albums, a few Golden Globes, and a Presidential Medal.   He is also in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.  How fantastic is all of that!
