You’ll Never Guess Who Will Be Returning To The New Independence Day Film
Good news “Independence Day” fans, it looks like Jeff Goldblum will be back. For a while, it was reported that the actor would not return to star in the sequel to the classic Sci-Fi film, but Director Roland Emmerich recently confirmed on Twitter that Goldblum would be coming back. Liam Hemsworth was also announced as a new cast member, who will now star alongside Goldblum and Jessie Usher.
Usher’s involvement in the film was also recently revealed, and it is said that he will play the son of Will Smith’s character from the original. Smith will not be returning unfortunately, but at least they were able to get Goldblum back. The film will be directed by Roland Emmerich and produced by Dean Devlin and Harald Kloser, with a release date of June 24th, 2016.
It’s hard to believe that they are making a new “Independence Day” film. The first movie was released twenty years ago. It will be interesting to see if the series still has a fanbase.
