Woman Gives Birth To Twins With Different Fathers
A New Jersey woman received shocking news regarding the paternity case for her twin girls; it turns out they have different fathers. The information was revealed after the woman sough child support payments from a man she thought was the father. A DNA test was later done and she discovered that her daughters, who were born in 2013, have different fathers.
On May 4th, 2015, after this information was revealed, the judge in the case ruled that the man from whom the twins’ mother sought child support has to pay for only one of the girls.
According to Huffington Post “It’s rare for a woman to give birth to twins with different fathers. Passaic County Superior Court Judge Sohail Mohammed wrote in his opinion that he found two other court cases nationally on such matters.” However unlikely this seems, it is possible. If a woman has sexual intercourse with two men in the span of one menstrual cycle, two eggs can be fertilized, one by each male.
Reportedly in court testimony the mother revealed that she had sex with both men in a span of one week.
