A UK-based woman moved her marriage forward so that her dad could walk her down the aisle. Her dad made it to the marriage ceremony; however, her mother unexpectedly died only 4 days before the wedding. Kelly Galt was set to marry Alan when her healthy mom unexpectedly died of a heart attack.
Galt decided to proceed with the ceremony before she loses her dad, who was diagnosed with cancer. The 32-year-old woman spent her wedding day waiting for the results of the post-mortem for her mom. Kelly and Alan got married with their two kids by their side. The woman said that she feels guilty that her spouse had to cope with her heartbreak over the loss of her mom just before the marriage ceremony. She further stated that she also feels guilty that her mom was not at her marriage ceremony. Kelly’s dad passed away one month after the marriage, aged 59.
