Transgender Woman Spent $110,000 To Look Like Kim Kardashian
A make-up artist from New York spent a crazy £70,000 ($110,000) in order to turn herself into Kim Kardashian. The woman, Thalia Almodovar, was born a male, but transitioned into a female in her early teens and began having corrective surgeries in her early 20’s. She revealed that people stop her to ask for a photo because she looks so much like Kim Kardashian: “I couldn’t see it at first but then I embraced it. I’d get preferential treatment in clubs and restaurants. People would mob me for selfies.“
Almodovar spent £50,000 ($77,000) on a bottom enhancement, boob job, and lip injections along with spending almost as much as £10,000 ($15,500) on clothes and shoes. She is currently trying to find work as a professional look alike, hoping that her investment pays off: “I’d like to be famous for who I am, but why not?” She admits she is still trying to find someone special, claiming it can be difficult to find real love: “Sometimes guys just want to talk to me because I look like Kim without getting to know me – that annoys me. I had this guy that dated me only because he had an obsession with Kim. I’m single now so I’m on the lookout for my own Kanye.“
