South Korean Teacher Eats A Live Hamster In Front Of Class

The world is pretty wacky as it is, and we’ve all heard of celebrities, such as Ozzy Osbourne, eating a live animal in front of an audience. Unfortunately, a teacher in South Korea did the very same thing, albeit with a live hamster. The 44-year-old teacher, who was identified only as Yu, according to First To Know, taught at Jeongeup boarding school. Yu has been charged with child abuse for his actions.

His students were teasing the hamster within the classroom. This gave Yu the idea to question his class “how dear life is.” He removed the hamster from its cage, bit, and chewed the small animal in front of his class, killing it before their very eyes. Speaking with Yonhap News Agency, Yu said, “I couldn’t control the situation and couldn’t stand it. While watching the hamsters die from teasing, I thought I should teach the children it was wrong to make light of life.

Seven students were within the classroom when Yu decided to eat the live hamster. The parents of the students quickly found out about the incident and took action against the instructor. Child abuse charges were filed and the police took Yu in without physical detention on said charges. Yu has said he would never have done this if he knew he would have been charged with child abuse.
