Soldier Jailed For Raping A Woman As His Fiancé Slept In Another Room
Daniel Howard, an army captain, has been sentenced to 7 years in jail after raping a house guest while his fiancé slept in another room. According to the police, the victim went to bed in Daniel’s home after a night of drinking with him and his partner. The victim said that Howard entered her room and forced himself on her, and warned her not to tell his fiancé . The next day, the victim contacted a rape crisis help-line before driving to a medical facility.
After his arrest, the 29-year-old soldier denied going into the spare bedroom, and denied having sexual intercourse with his house guest. However, his DNA was found inside the underwear of the woman and his semen was found on swabs taken from her body. The army captain claimed that the DNA ended up on the victim because she used a sex toy that belonged to his partner.
