Social Experiment Causes People To Question Their Spending Habits

Everyone is looking for a bargain, but do we really know why our clothes are so cheap? Do we even want to know? The activist group, Fashion Revolution, put a machine up in a part of Berlin that has a lot of foot traffic. The vending machine promised t-shirts for the very cheap price of 2 Euros. Before dispensing the shirt, an informative video played explaining how our cheap clothes are made.

The buyer was then given one last opportunity to either buy the shirt or donate to the cause. Eight out of ten patrons chose to donate. Watch this provocative social experiment and the responses of patrons who clearly just didn’t know where their clothes came from.
