Seven Gang Members Arrested For Brutal Murder Of 15-Year-Old In The Bronx

After 15-year-old Lesandro Junior Guzman-Feliz was murdered on Wednesday outside of a bodega in The Bronx, a Dominican gang known as the Trinitarios is being investigated.

Seven members of the gang are being held in Passaic County jail; Jose Muniz, Jose Taverez, Manuel Rivera, Daniel Fernandez, Santiago Rodriguez, and Joniki Martinez, have been arrested in connection to the fatal stabbing, along with 19-year-old Kevin Alvarez. Alvarez was arrested for murder, gang assault, and manslaughter.

Many members of the Trinitarios are street-level drug dealers and enforcers, and there are estimates that there are more than 1,000 members in the New York City area. In 2014, a news outlet in Spain labeled the Trinitarios as the most dangerous gang in Madrid.

Within days of killing Guzman-Feliz members of the Trinitarios wrote on the 15-year-old’s social media, saying his murder was a case of mistaken identity, and apologizing. Guzman-Feliz was murdered after Trinitarios members believed he was the individual featured in a sex tape that included a sister of one of the gang members.
