New Zealand Model Completes Huge Burrito Eating Challenge

Almost everyone in the world will admit that they love food, whether it is a succulent meal or just a sweet dessert. However, some people have taken the art of eating to extreme lengths. Rather than simply eating to ease their hunger, competitive eaters test themselves by munching down huge meals as quickly as possible.

Television shows like Man v. Food have made competitive eating all the more popular but have also given people something of a one-dimensional view of what a competitive eater looks like. One girl in New Zealand is challenging those perceptions by showing that a model is capable of possessing the same talent as professional eaters.

The video shows Nela Zisser taking on the Mad Mex’s Big Burrito Challenge, a task that involves eating a huge burrito that weighs in at 2.2 pounds (1kg) as quickly as possible. Zisser manages to complete the task in a stunning 1 minute and 44 seconds.

The 22-year-old has been modelling since she was 16 after being spotted by a local modelling agency. Since then, she has turned the hobby into a career and won the Miss Earth New Zealand competition in 2013. Zisser continues to model and promote environmental causes in New Zealand as well as showcasing her eating talents.
