Mom Gives Son Money For Tattoo, Buys a Gun for School Shooting Instead

Timothy Felker, 18, is accused of threatening to shoot classmates at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School after he bought an AR-15 with money his mother gave him for a tattoo. Sean Stafford, a detective with Lexington police department said:

“Around Christmas or December 2017 is when he purchased the AR-15 with money that his mom gave him for a tattoo, and that he also purchased 500 rounds of ammunition”

According to police, three students heard Felker make threats, with Felker admitting that he said he was going to shoot up the school because he was being bullied. He had posted images on social media of himself with the AR-15, including one photo with the muzzle of the gun in his mouth.

He has been charged with second-degree terroristic threatening, however Felker pleaded not-guilty to these charges.
