Man Arrested After Tying Up Teen And Shocking Him With Jumper Cables


In Wichita, Kansas, a 58-year-old man was arrested following an incident of a 15-year-old teenager who was tied up & shocked with jumper cables.

The father of the teen said his son was walking in the neighborhood when a man approached him and pointed a gun to his back. Police reports say that the 58-year-old man, Robert McDowell, then took the young boy to a home and tied up the boy in his shoelaces. He then shocked the teen on the ears with jumper cables.

The suspect made comments that he had been robbed by the boy’s friends. The boy reports that the men smelled of alcohol. Eventually, McDowell released the teen who went home and called 911.

Robert McDowell was charged with multiple felony charges, aggravated battery, abduction and kidnapping. The boy had been checked in a nearby hospital and thankfully wasn’t seriously injured.
