Horror Video Game Silent Hills Has Been Killed By Konami

It was considered one of the most anticipated games coming to the PS4, now it appears that it may never be coming at all. Silent Hills, starring Norman Reedus and helmed by Guillermo Del Toro has apparently been killed by Konami. The project was also being worked on by Metal Gear Solid legend Hideo Kojima but he and Konami recently parted ways.

Since the parting, Konami has been slowly taking his name off of some projects and shutting others he had a hand in working. Late last week, Del Toro claimed he thought Silent Hills was likely on its way to being scrapped. On Monday morning, Reedus tweeted that it was a “bummer” that the production was canceled. Monday afternoon, Konami made it official. Blooding Disgusting reports the company sent out a short press release saying: “Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic ‘Silent Hills’ project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued.”
