Game Of Thrones Editor Killed By Lion Attack

Katherine Chappell, a 29-year-old Games of Thrones special effects editor from New York, died after being attacked by a female lion at Lion Park located in South Africa. The young woman was visiting South Africa as a volunteer to protect wildlife, CNN reported. Chappell had been taking pictures when the lioness walked towards her. It got very close to the vehicle, and witnesses claimed that when it lunged into the car and started bitting Chappell, the window was completely open. Citing witness statements, the representative of the Lion Park said the young woman and the tour operator, who was with her in the car, had not complied with the park’s car safety rules on the tour.

We have many signs that clearly state that all windows and doors should be closed and locked at all times,” a Lion Park statement read, also stating that visitors and the tour operators responsible for the visitors are given pamphlets before entering the park which thoroughly explain rules and regulations. The 66-year-old driver who was in the car with Chappell hasn’t suffered any severe injuries from attempting to defend Chappell, however he may have suffered a heart attack. The park decided not be euthanize the lioness responsible for the attack.
