Employee Accused Of Stealing $240,000 From Walmart

According to WFAA, Decatur Police have known Nacina Walker, a local Walmart employee, to be a helpful individual working within the cash department of the local super-store. Walker was known to help the chain store investigate thefts that occurred within the shop. Unfortunately, Walker apparently used her time to steal from Walmart all on her own.

Detective Gerald Wright said, “She would be the one that would come in and help us and go, ‘Oh, you need to punch in this number, do this,’ or ‘Let me find it for you.

Walker ended up being one of the biggest theft cases the detective had ever handled. Walker, 50, was arrested earlier this week after being accused of stealing an estimated $240,000 worth of property from the Walmart where she worked. The accused was said to create fake returns at the store, then pocket any refunds from the fake receipts. The refunds began small, but quickly escalated to $8,000 in a single day. Walker admitted to doing the crime in an effort to help pay her bills.
