Amazing Girl Goes To Extreme Lengths To Help The Homeless

Many people don’t do very much to help their fellow man, and a good proportion of those that do simply donate some spare change to charities. One girl though, has decided to take charity into her own hands as she seeks to make life much more comfortable for the homeless people who live in her neighborhood.

Using tools and materials donated by the community, 9-year-old Hailey Fort has set about building mobile shelters for those who have nowhere else to go. After befriending and helping several homeless men from the age of five, she has, along with her mom, gone out of her way to help them in any way she can. Throughout the year, Hailey plans to build 12 of the shelters that will help protect her friends from bad weather and provide some warmth during colder times.

Her work hasn’t stopped there though. She has also been growing fruit and vegetables for several months, ensuring that the homeless men and women do not go hungry thanks to a steady supply of food. Such is her determination, Hailey is planning to grow at least 250 pounds of food this year.
