Adam Sandler’s Hilarious And Heartwarming Send-Off Song To David Letterman

Just days before David Letterman’s final show, actor Adam Sandler took the opportunity to pay tribute to the iconic comedian in the form of a hilarious song. According to US Magazine, while being interviewed by the late-night host, Adam preempted his performance by saying, “I’ve been trying to write this song for you for the last whenever“. While the Big Daddy star hesitated to leave the guest couch, he finally got up the nerve, taking the mic from Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra.

With guitar in hand, Sandler started his comical performance with “There simply is no better man than good old David Letterman / And no one gets Julia Roberts’ face redder than a flirty David Letterman. He’s leaving after 30 years, and you know he will be missed / If you like gap-toothed men in double-breasted suits, he’s number one on your top ten list.”

After finishing his heartwarming performance, Adam was greeted with applause and a standing ovation from both audience members and Letterman himself! On May 20th the veteran TV personality will host his final episode of the late night show after being on air for 33 years.
