20 Year Old Rapper Shot Dead In Miami
Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, 20, better known as the rapper XXXTentacion, has been shot dead outside a motorcycle dealership in Miami, Florida, on Monday afternoon. According to reports from Broward County Sheriff’s Department, XXXTentacion was leaving the dealership and was getting back inside his car when two armed suspects ran up to his car, with one of them shooting Onfroy before they escaped in an SUV.

Police believe the incident to be an attempted armed robbery. Onfroy was transported to a local hospital, however was pronounced dead soon after. Police are currently seeking any information to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Onfroy began recording music as XXXTentacion at the age of 16, and released his first songs on SoundCloud in 2014. XXXTentacion’s hit Look at Me! was released in December 2015, and gained further popularity after Onfroy was arrested in October 2016 on charges of domestic battery by strangulation, aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, and false imprisonment. The raise in fame whilst in prison led to Onfroy signing a deal with EMPIRE shortly before he was released on probation.

Earlier this year, Spotify removed XXXTentacion’s music from the streaming service to comply with their Hate Content & Harmful Conduct policy. A month after his music was removed, they restored his music. In March 2018, XXXTentacion released his second studio album, ?, and made number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
