11-Year-Old Sacramento Boy Graduates From College

If you want to feel a little less smart today, then read this story about an 11-year-old boy in Sacramento that just graduated from college. Tanishq Abraham graduated from American River College in Sacramento on Wednesday night, just one year after graduating high school!

Abraham graduated from high school at the age of 10, but he has been taking classes at American River College since the age of 7. He graduated with three Associate’s degrees: math and physical science, general science and foreign language studies.

After his graduation, Abraham said, “I like to learn. So I just followed my passion of learning, and that’s how I ended up here.” His mother, Taji Abraham, added, “We did it as a family, as teamwork. And I was just cheering, I was just crying there when I saw Tanishq walk down the stage.”

Tanishq still has a few courses to finish up at ARC, including Calculus II this summer, and then would like to go to Stanford and eventually become a doctor, a medical researcher and president of the United States. Big dreams, but we think he can do it!
