Trump Will Invite Kim Jong-un To White House If Summit Goes Well

United States President Donald Trump offered North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un a new incentive yesterday to hopefully aid the denuclearization of North Korea and end their ballistic missile program. Rumors have been floating around that it is possible that Kim could be getting an invite to Trump’s privately-owned Palm Beach property.

Trump said that if Kim played his cards right, he could earn an invitation to the US, but not to his Palm Beach property – instead the Supreme leader would get an invitation to the White House. “Certainly if it goes well. And I think it would be well received. I think he would look at it very favorably. So I think that could happen,” Trump said.

As of yesterday, Trump said the summit in Singapore is “all ready to go,” saying “You never know in this world. Subject to change. But the summit is all ready to go.” The White House originally thought that the summit could result in an immediate agreement between the two nations for the denuclearization of North Korea, however it is now being referred to as a “getting to know you” meeting. Trump said “I don’t think it will all be in one meeting. I think it will take longer than that.”

“I don’t say, and I never said it happens in one meeting. You’re talking about years of hostility, years of problems, years of really hatred between so many different nations. But I think you’re going to have a very positive result in the end” Trump said.

At the White House Rose Garden on Thursday, Trump said “The denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula would usher in a new era of prosperity, security, and peace for all Koreans — for North and South — and for people everywhere.

A spokeswoman for the President confirmed that the talks will happen on June 12th, starting at 9 a.m. local time – 9 p.m. in Washington. They will be happening at Capella Hotel on Sentosa island, south of Singapore.
