The Olsen Sisters Are Not Joining Full House Reboot

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will not be a part of the Netflix’s Full House reboot, named Fuller House, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Much of the original cast is confirmed to return, but the 28-year-old duo decided not to be a part of it after admitting to Women’s Wear Daily that they had no idea the show was even happening until John Stamos broke the news. “We just found out about it today,” Mary-Kate told WWD. “I guess we’re going to talk to the creators and see what’s happening.”

And after a lot of speculation, executive producer Robert L. Boyett announced Friday, as reported by People, that Mary-Kate and Ashley will not be reprising their role as Michelle Tanner. “Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family,” he said in a statement. “It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House.
