Shocking Video Shows Strange Prison Loaf

A group of individuals from BuzzFeed recently visited numerous prisons throughout the United States. The reason they visited these prisons? To try the prison loaf that these prisons offer their inmates. Be warned though, this isn’t your grandmothers meatloaf, this meal is packed full of ‘goodness’, however it seems they left out the most important aspects of food — taste and texture.

Many of the prison loafs are referred to as nutraloafs, essentially providing all dietary requirements for the prison inmates, without any regard for their palettes. While this may seem cruel to feed inmates such food, the important thing is to remember the limited funds and large number of inmates across the states.

Regardless, we wouldn’t eat this — even if we were paid. Some of the individuals in the video describe the food as smelling like dog food, that’d certainly suppress our appetites. Check out the video and let us know what you think.
