Poo Jogger Finally Caught In Brisbane’s South-East

Andrew Douglas Macintosh has been given an unfortunate name after he was caught red-handed defecating on a private footpath in the south-east of Brisbane, Australia. Known as the poo jogger, Macintosh has pooed on a footpath outside of an apartment block on Logan Road, in Greenslopes, south of Brisbane’s CBD, more than 30 times in the past year.

Neighbors banded together to catch the poo jogger in the act, even parking their cars on various streets around their neighborhood to determine the poo jogger’s route. “Through a process of elimination, we figured out the route where he was running and we narrowed it down to where he lived” neighbor Steve Smith said. Steve set up an infrared motion sensor camera and waited for the poo jogger to do his deed. “It took a couple of weeks of being out each morning waiting” Steve said, but his efforts finally paid off.

Steve was shocked by the poo jogger’s reaction to being caught, as Macintosh just said “hello.” Upon discovering who he was, Steve went to police with the information who charged Macintosh with public nuisance. The charges were dropped after the poo jogger elected to pay a fine of $378.

Macintosh was revealed as a successful business executive at Aveo and an advisor to Brisbane City Council’s board. He was previously the director at Aveo, a retirement village, and Aveo has issued a statement regarding the allegations; “Aveo Group is distressed and disappointed at the alleged incidents concerning Mr Macintosh.”
