Man Loses Life At A Music Festival After Falling From A Statue

The festivities at a popular music festival in Paris was cut short abruptly, when a man lost his life after falling from a statue in the premises. ‘Techno Parade’ is one of the most popular music festivals in Paris and this year it was conducted in Place de la Republique, in the north-eastern part of Paris.

One of the attendees appeared to be over-excited by the occasion and attempted to scale a 25-foot statue when he lost his grip and came plummeting to the floor. He was immediately evacuated from the premises and sent to a nearby hospital in an ambulance but unfortunately did not recover from the fall.

The organizers said that they were unaware of the incident until the festival was over and offered their deepest condolences to the family members of the departed. It is not shocking, however, that the organizers were unaware of the tragedy as the festival usually sees nearly 350,000 people flocking to participate in the festivities. A disturbing fact emerged on the comments section of the Facebook page of the festival, where witnesses claim that the man was encouraged to climb higher up the statue by the surrounding audience, thereby resulting in the fault.
